15 Easy Home Remedies for Dry Cough Treatment

Although temporary coughing is normal, yet if you have a constant dry cough then it’s better to use proven remedies for dry cough treatment naturally!

1) Licorice root tea

Persons having dry cough can try consuming tea made with licorice root in it. This tea can comfort your throat and helps you lose your congestion. You need to boil water and add 2 tablespoons of licorice root to it. Try this home remedy and you will find it useful for your dry cough.

2) Raw Honey

Raw honey is definitely going to sooth your cough. It is one of the oldest and the best home remedies for dry cough problems and is largely used to prevent cough problems. You may find honey in the market at a general store easily. However, if you can find fresh raw honey collected from the bees, then it will be the best for you.

3) Salt Water

Saltwater is considered to be the best remedy for cough problems. But make sure you do not drink it but only gargle with it. Just add 1 tsp of salt to some warm water and use it just like you use your mouthwash.

When you gargle with saltwater, it will draw any moisture away from your throat thereby clearing your swollen throat. Make sure you use gargle 3 times a day.

4) Black Pepper with Raw Honey

One thing that is also considered effective for dry cough is black pepper mixed with raw honey. You can take some quantity of warm water with raw honey & black pepper. Now mix all of them together and drink it up.

5) Turmeric

Turmeric is said to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. You need to mix some quantity of grounded turmeric with carom seeds in 4 cup of water. Now you need to boil this mixture until half of this mixture is boiled away. Once you have done it, now add some quantity of honey to this mixture & drink it.

You have to boil some water and add some cloves in it. While the water is boiling, just add some marjoram. A syrup can also be made by using garlic, honey and clove oil that can be taken 3 times a day.

Ginger is said to be a proven remedy for all your cough related problems. Just take a little sized chunk of ginger and then chop it. Now add some boiled water in it and put it aside till it is cooled. Now you can drink this mixture after adding some honey in it. You can also take gingerroot slices and chew them as per your feasibility.

Ginger can also be taken while adding them in tea. Gingerroot can reduce your dry cough problem and clean your throat.

8) Marshmallow Root

Marshmallow root is another effectual remedy for treating your dry cough as it is anti-inflammatory and can relieve the pain cause by your cough. It also makes a thin layer which can give protection to the mucous membrane tissue. Just prepare tea by adding marshmallow and strain the solution to filter the root.
